اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا وَلاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ، وَارْحَمْنِي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
Transliteration
Allahumma inni dhalamtu nafsee dhulman katheeran wa la yaghfirudh-dhunooba illa Ant, faghfir lee maghfiratan min 'indika warhamnee innaka Antal-Ghafoorur-Raheem
Translation
O Allah, I have wronged my soul greatly, and none can forgive sins except You. So grant me forgiveness from Yourself and have mercy on me. Indeed, You are the Forgiving, the Merciful.
Context
The Prophet (ﷺ) specifically taught this magnificent prayer to Abu Bakr to be integrated into daily ritual prayers.
